Guest artistsBy establishing the Guest Artists program, Dansearena nord is offering a more long term commitment to connect to and develop artists than we are able to do through our Artist in residence programme. In 2020 the Guest Artists are Maria Landmark and Silje Solheim Johnsen.
Silje Solheim Johnsenhas spesialized in developing new ways of producing work for schools – thereby also creating performances for young people over a decade. Her works has toured extensively in schools and at festivals. In the later years, Solheim Johnsen has taken her works to a different level exploring the relationships between the adult and the child. Solheim Johnsen is a Tromsø-based artist, touring nationally. Maria Landmarkworks mainly site spesific, taking in the local opportunities given in a city, open space or vast nature. Daring to invite unlikely collaborators into her productions, Landmark opens for explorative ways of seeing and creating art in local communities. Landmark lives and works in Alta, also creating work shown in Tromsø and Bodø. Dansearena nord has a long term collaboration with dramaturge Thomas Schaupp, making use of dramaturgy as an important tool for dancers. Schaupp will be working with Solheim Johnsen and Landmark throughout the year. |
